I don’t even know that he has a shot at defensive MVP this year. Imagine if DaRon Bland somehow manages another pick 6. It would have to be him. It probably should be him right now.

We all know that MVP is a QB award now. He’d have to at least break TJ and Strahan’s sack record to be in league MVP conversation

Daron in half a season has over half the amount of pick 6’s Deion Sanders had in his whole career. Like it should be him as the front runner, no competition. Myles is great, but so is TJ, so is Patsons, so is Crosby, so is Danielle Hunter (Who hasn’t been talked about enough this season).

No corner in the league is, has, or can do what Daron Bland has been doing. I’m saying this also as someone who fucking hates the Cowboys.

For sure. Even if he never does close to this again in his career it’s been an historic performance. He deserves DPOY IMO. If you break a record that all of these NFL legends have had a shot at and couldn’t do you should get it.

Unpopular opinion: a pick 6 is just a interception that luckily happened on the right part of the field. I don’t think it’s that much better of a play than a normal pick outside of that luck.

It’s just more rare because teams tend to play conservative when they’re backed up. It happened more for Daron because the QBs who threw were getting blown out and chucking the ball.
