Dak if Daron doesn’t get another defensive TD. Gilmore won dpoy with 6 ints and two tds. Daron is already at 7 and 5 tds and best grade against among CBs with over 50 snaps
I’m pretty sure he was a starter, he came into the year as the Slot Corner. He moved to the outside because Diggs got hurt but the Cowboys play so much nickel and dime that he was basically a starter
I think the point is not that Bland isn’t great, but that that reducing the conversation to purely those numbers - which is what the post u/DiseaseRidden was responding to is doing - is a disingenuous argument.
Gilmore has had a big role in the development of our CBs this year. Diggs said so after camp, and even Ceedee says he’s improved by facing Gilmore in practice.
Still can’t believe the Colts didn’t wait to trade Gilmore. Had to figure they could have gotten a little more at the deadline when teams lose guys due to injury/believe they are a corner away. Guy is still a solid corner and truly is one of those players that can make younger players better

I still think it’s insane that he wasn’t even a starter, came in after Diggs got hurt. That’s nuts
now imagine you had 4 games against that roster AND the Eagles roster every season. it’s a bad time to be in the NFCE as a non-Eagles/non-Cowboys fan

Gilmore didn’t win that DPOY because of his picks. He won it because he’d shut down half of the field. It takes a lot for a cb to win DPOY.
That’s right NFL QBs, Daron Bland is not a shutdown corner. Please keep throwing his way. Thank you.
Is he really that good? Surprised I haven’t heard his name til last night. They filled a massive hole with Diggs out.
Well, in all of NFL history no one has ever returned 5 interceptions for touchdowns in a single season and Bland did it in 11 games. As a backup.
Especially on out routes.

Bland’s cover stats are also great and Micah leads the league in pressures too btw
I don’t know man. Breaking longstanding NFL records with 6 games left in a season feels like a lot.
