Watching this game makes me feel like… the Bears are not that far away from taking the north? The Oline is getting better, and we have pieces on defense that are a good foundation. If we get a better coach and QB this off season, possibly challenge for the north in a year or 2?

We have cap room, amd lots of picks so really we are in a position to improve dramatically but it also requires us to have a competent coaching staff which I think is always the real issue with us

2 years away. Next year is the rookie qbs learning year and the following year is the competitive year. It was the plan all along.

I agree we likely don’t win it next year… but I think we can still compete for the north while the QB is learning. Think about it, if Maye/Williams does pan out, is this team overall THAT far away from beating a team like the lions? With all of our cap space and draft capital, I don’t see a reason why we couldn’t win 8-9 games next year, which will put us in a position to play meaningful games in December

Overall team for sure. But they don’t have anything they excel at either. A better QB and a top edge rusher and I think we can 100% compete with them
