Most people seem to be giving their ranks on MVP voting citing only QBs. It’s hard to imagine that just a title over 10 years ago Brees’ 46 TDs wasn’t enough to win MVP.
I’m curious as to who the real MVP candidates are. QB production is down so I’m really gearing towards awarding it to a defensive player like Myles Garrett. I know some people have also cited CMC and Hill.
QB is THE most important position in the game. The league has neutered defenses so much that the differences between a great quarterback and a mediocre or bad one is a chasm. Great play at the position automatically makes a team a contender. The Texans would be in the playoffs if the season ended right now, and that’s ONLY because of CJ Stroud. I don’t care that he’s a rookie. Right now, I would say he’s clearly the most valuable player to any team in the league.
