Bruce Blakeman, the Republican nominee for New York governor, posted an “AI”-generated video imagining New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Governor Kathy Hochul hanging out, bizarrely gardening together, riding bikes, and vaguely colluding about making the state unaffordable.
Release the same video but this time add Bruce behind the bushes touching himself.
This is the only thing that works on these low life creeps. The high road was taken and it obviously failed.
The law states: “A person, firm, association, corporation, campaign, committee, or organization that distributes or publishes any political communication that was produced by or includes materially deceptive media and has actual knowledge that it is materially deceptive shall be required to disclose this use.” The law requires a disclosure displayed directly on the media in an easily readable font saying, “This (image, video, or audio) has been manipulated.”
I’m surprised purposefully misleading content is not just plain illegal. Not labeling manipulated content is one thing, misleading the public with real looking media is another.
Wdym? This is America, purposefully misleading content is called journalism here.
Whatever goes through as journalism is still different than a political campaign.

Anyone who is genuinely fooled or influenced by that video should not be allowed to vote. If they aren’t capable of handling such low levels of propaganda, they aren’t equipped to make informed votes.
Of course, this would also be solved by banning the use of such methods for creating political ads.
And who exactly gets to decide who is too stupid to vote?
