Food look good but why does your stove not have any knobs to set the temperature?
Uhhhhh long story 😅
How long could it be?
I’d guess 90-120 pages total. Probably involves ninjas, yakuza, offshore accounts, some really sexy people making poor decisions that put them in mortal danger. Maybe OP could get it down to a 5 page treatment. Might be enough to get it greenlit.
“I took the knobs off”
-fin-
Presumably so that they can use that side for prep without worrying about it being hot. However OP should check that the bottom rim of those plates and bowls is fully glazed, otherwise they’ll end up scratching the glass surface.
Really? It was my understanding that these glass stove tops were pretty much the toughest glass available. I know I used to clean off dried spills with a razor scraper when I lived in a home that had one.
unglazed ceramic, and specially chipped ceramic, is particularly efficient at messing up glass. A steel razor is a soft caress by comparison.
Ok, where’s the line between this and bibimbap? I don’t know a lot of Korean dishes, but I love a good veggie bibimbap and this looks like the same basic concept.
I think the key factor in bibimbap is the crunchy rice bottom.
Not necessarily. The crunchy rice is from a specific way of serving it in a hot stone bowl, called dolsot bibimbap. IMHO, the main thing about bibimbap generally is (a) a bed of rice with (b) several toppings in smaller amounts and © a soft egg that creates a creamy sauce when stirred. That being said, “bibimbap” literally means “mixed rice”, so it’s a really variable thing, and the variety is a big part of it.

Ah I thought that’s why “bibimbap” is called that and not a rice bowl. Thanks for sharing!
Recipe for the steak marinade pls. Or is it literally just gochujang?
I used the Korean BBQ flavor Beyond Meat Steak Tips!
My girlfriend has been vegan since she was very young, and I went vegetarian (working on cutting dairy and eggs out) about a month and a half ago. I don’t usually go for imitation meat, but I’ve been having meat cravings so decided to give them a shot and they turned out to be shockingly similar in taste/texture to the real deal. Highly recommend trying some if your local supermarket stocks any.
I fried it up until crispy with some garlic, jalapenos, and homemade gochujang sauce to add a little more flavor. Turned out pretty well :)
homemade gochujang? man that’s awesome
I wanna eat at your house
