I've never shucked - should I shuck this?

I’ve got a 4TB Seagate Backup+ Hub. It is 4 years old now I think.

I was thinking of shucking this and sticking the drive into my Unraid box as a scratch drive for torrents etc. Is this a good or bad idea?
