So despite living right next to them, he doesn’t know Muslims practice circumcision too?

We now present the Foreskin Theft Squad.

The producer quipped: “We wanted to amp it up. You know - because it’s a sequel. But keep it topical and smart too. Hit all the angles. We asked David Mamet and he said ‘yes’ before we even discussed remuneration. We were touched. The material was and is important to him. He’s that kind of guy.”

King David in the bible does indeed do this in the book of Samuel (1 Samuel 18:20-29).

CW: violence SA; click to expand

He then gives the removed foreskins to King Saul as a dowry for his daughter’s hand in marriage.

20 Now Saul’s daughter Michal was in love with David, and when they told Saul about it, he was pleased.

21 “I will give her to him,” he thought, “so that she may be a snare to him and so that the hand of the Philistines may be against him.” So Saul said to David, “Now you have a second opportunity to become my son-in-law.”

22 Then Saul ordered his attendants: “Speak to David privately and say, ‘Look, the king likes you, and his attendants all love you; now become his son-in-law.’”

23 They repeated these words to David. But David said, “Do you think it is a small matter to become the king’s son-in-law? I’m only a poor man and little known.”

24 When Saul’s servants told him what David had said,

25 Saul replied, “Say to David, ‘The king wants no other price for the bride than a hundred Philistine foreskins, to take revenge on his enemies.’” Saul’s plan was to have David fall by the hands of the Philistines.

26 When the attendants told David these things, he was pleased to become the king’s son-in-law. So before the allotted time elapsed,

27 David took his men with him and went out and killed two hundred Philistines and brought back their foreskins. They counted out the full number to the king so that David might become the king’s son-in-law. Then Saul gave him his daughter Michal in marriage.

28 When Saul realized that the Lord was with David and that his daughter Michal loved David,

29 Saul became still more afraid of him, and he remained his enemy the rest of his days.

(the old testament is a normal and cool book full of normal and cool things)

Keep in mind that “Palestine” and “Phillistine” share etymology, and that the “Phillistines” David was killing were people who inhabited the the Levant during the bronze age. Modern Palestinians aren’t descended from the Phillistines, but it is telling that an Israeli official would directly reference this event in the old testament as a dog whistle for today’s genocide.

Biblical texts identify five Philistine cities: Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Ekron, and Gath. That’s all you need to know.

Each and every man under my command owes me one hundred Hamas foreskins. And I want my foreskins. And all y’all will git me one hundred Hamas foreskins, taken from the penises of one hundred dead Hamas terrorists. Or you will die tryin’.

Well shucks. No, good call if that’s the usage of it you’re most familiar with. Paul is absolutely being anti-Semitic with it, but he’s twisting (as I read it) the phrase as used in Deuteronomy, Jeremiah, and elsewhere.

I don’t think Paul’s usage was especially anti-semitic except in so far as he was becoming a different religion to Judaism. He wasn’t saying it is bad to be circumcised he was saying that it is wrong to say that Christians are expected to become circumcised

in the very same letter Paul says "I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! " … "do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. " (other branches here refers to non Christian Jews)

so he clearly wasn’t intending to advocate for religious oppression of the Jews and at the time of writing Christian oppression of Jews wouldn’t have occured to him or the audience as a remote possibility given how far Christianity was from political power at that point in history

if someone in a modern context however used it to criticise Judaism as immoral it would then be anti-semitic but that would also for the reasons I mentioned be an interpretation in conflict with the context

Imagining and IOF soldiers getting increasingly pissed off as he removes pants from dead Palestinians and finds them all circumcized. This turns into a happy thought when the red arrow appears above his and his dick squads heads.

Mutilation of bodies is a war crime.

Not that Israel is new to war crimes, and certainly not the worst that they’re commiting, but might be useful to point out a govt official unambiguously calling for war crimes.

    “Scalping” part of genocide.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prevalence_of_circumcision

    More than 80%

Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Brunei, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Pakistan, Jordan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Oman, Palestine, the Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

IDK the individual custom of male genital mutilation over there. Either by birth or a teen “rite of passage” bull, but if there are uncut Palestinians, they are probably children or what they really mean is to castrate. Either way it’s terrible.

Haaretz - They Felt Pressured to Get Circumcised After Moving to Israel. They Now Regret it.

Tens of thousands of teen boys and men from the former Soviet Union were herded into Israeli operating rooms beginning in the '90s to undergo circumcisions. Years later, they recall the resulting trauma and pain, and the damage wrought on their sex lives

    Cool and normal country.
