The thing is that these new rules were written by a group of US state attorneys general. So those are apparently the rules that those AGs think are good rules for how minors should be allowed to communicate on the Internet; they may now try to introduce them to other parts of the Internet too. Certainly something we should be concerned about whatever we think of Meta.
