Does this mean I need to contact FedEX or is this a normal occurrence? (I’d prefer for it to actually arrive when it’s supposed to as my schedule aligns well with the expected date)

    Did you have to contact FedEx in order for them to do that? Mine has this same status.

      According to the email, FedEX will contact framework and get them to forward the package. I’d give it time
