    Absolutely, yes! This game against the Lions showcased the most persistent problem with the Bears over the years. For 57 minutes of the game, the Bears showed that they were capable of winning in this league. However, as it has been since Coach Eberflus and Co. got here (and actually as with many Bears coaches even before them), the coaching was terrible when it counted most and the coaches, not the QB or other players, lost this game. At the most critical times, these coaches on both offense and defense go conservative and play “not to lose” instead of playing to win…with the result that they lose! Winners play to win, and these Bears coaches simply do not have a winning mentality. Also, if anyone is hoping for high draft picks by losing, the simple fact is that high draft picks mean nothing if you’ve created a culture of losing in the process.
