Hi, I’m a 30F who never really spends on myself at all and I’ve never had any gadgets besides my phone ever. My Mamaw is asking for a big gift idea and she spends up to $400. I thought now was the time to get an Apple Watch I’ve always wanted! I’d like to go with an older model that is MUCH more affordable (maybe like the $200 range?) but I know Apple starts messing up their older products. So any advice on a model to go with that will be reliable for several more years yet not break the bank, a sweet spot so to say? I don’t need anything super fancy just one that does the job, thanks!

I got the SE 2 for “free” via Verizon with a $5/month LTE plan built into it. It’s fine and I see absolutely no reason to get a nicer model as I get all the health and fitness tracking I need and then some.
