Noticed some weird build up on the inside of the bottom lens on my 13 pro max. Not entirely sure what it is…

It doesn’t seem to be affecting picture quality but the scratches or build-up is getting worse.

Has anyone experienced this?

Yeah bring it in they will fix it. You may want to invest in camera lens protectors. (Clear plastic) that cost like $7.00 on Amazon and include a protective screen cover as well.

After using these I have never broken or scratched a screen or camera lenses

Bring it into Apple yes but please OP, don’t get a camera lens protector especially one that has anything over the lens if you care at all about picture quality.

An iPhone camera lens protector will not affect the quality of your photos if it is made from high-quality materials and is applied correctly.

You either bought low quality ones or didn’t apply them correctly.

I can take 48MP photos on my 15 pro max with camera protector on and one without, side by side photos zoomed in 100% on photoshop there is no visual difference.

You for sure used cheap protector heheh.
