I am all for drafting a great talent at QB. However, I think this is the wrong year to draft one:
Caleb Williams basically folds whenever his receivers cannot get wide open, and he doesn’t have all day to throw. He also has a bad attitude.
Drake Maye cannot throw against a decent defense. He cannot win big games.
I would rather keep Fields, than draft either of the 2 QBs. I really see high bust potential for both these quarterbacks.
This year might threaten the record of 6 QB’s drafted in the first round. Two bonafide prospects, Caleb and Maye. Some slightly older, but maybe more pro ready and polished Penix and Nix. Then you have Shaduer and JJ, who are younger and can use their legs but might need more polish. There is literally somethin for whatever you fancy. Yet “this isn’t the year to draft a QB.” Jesus tap-dancing Christ… When might you reckon would be a good time, if not now, oh Magic-8-Ball-QB-Whisperer-Jesus?
