pls dont kill me…

im just curious, in 2023 what exactly does ios have over android.

the only two things i can think of is the longer support and apple ecosystem.

otherwise androids just have far far more features than ios does.

can anyone help me understand if theres more to it or if thats it.

oh hey, so just for context, i am an iphone user lmao, so i dont know a lot about every android feature available but some key ones that i think are pretty good would be

    1. customisation

2)AOD(which is now only on the pro models)

3)Samsung Dex( only on the flagships but its such a killer feature)

    4)Sideloading.

im looking to consider an android next, and was wondering what i would miss out on, hence the post.

Ah totally did not understand the purpose of your question lol now it’s clear.

Well the thing about android too is that cell makers also have unique android features. As you wrote Samsung dex which is only on Samsung phones.

Make sure to check by starting there. For example, choose a model/brand then research.

For Android I stick to Google Pixels. The call screening features are very useful and wish iPhone had them.

yes im aware of that, but at the current moment, if u wanna compare iphone with an android flagship, it ends up being iphone vs samsung, they have undoubtedly the best android flagships in the market.

Let’s not turn this nice thread into a console war. You admitted you don’t use android.

As an android user, who’s used Samsung, google, htc, Motorola etc I would disagree with your statement but the beauty of android is that there is something for everyone! Not so much for iPhone, which is not a bad thing at all, it’s actually why it’s probably so optimized across the board with models and generations. Google is catching up, case in point look at their recent pixel 8 highlights.

          Good luck with your research!
