I’ve been using Harmony Hubs in two rooms, living room and bedroom, for the last few years. One of my biggest frustrations is that the app forces me to switch between hubs because you can only control one at a time.
Here’s an example of the type of routine I’m trying to create:
Start: Turn on living room TV, AVR, AppleTV, Hue lights, and split unit heat. (This part is simple enough).
End: Turns off all living room devices. Turns on hallway lights as well as bedroom lights, TV, FireStick, and split unit heat.
Harmony hubs don’t allow that in the same routine because it involves two different hubs and a routine can only be written to control a singe hub. There are also other annoyances about this. Like when I’m leaving work and want to turn on both split units. I open the app, which defaults to the living room hub, and turn on the living room split unit. I then have to go to Menu, “Switch Hubs”, select the bedroom hub, wait for it to download the configuration for that hub, select the device, turn it on.
Are there any that can control all devices from the same interface? I’ve looked at the SwitchBot HubMini and the Broadlink RM4 Pro, but none of the reviews answer this question. They just show you basic setup for the one hub. Does anyone know?
Thanks so much for the help!
