      Yeah this isn’t a wonderful look for the sport. Other drivers, team strategy, etc., are part of the hazards. Shit tracks, however, shouldn’t be.

      The damage was a result of poor track inspection and quality. Ferarri and Carlos should not pay the price for repairing the damage DIRECTLY caused by the track.

      The FIA can change the regulations sure. But retroactively applying them would be another issue. Without thinking about the can of worms such a rule change would bring.

          Don’t remember any calls for Haas or Williams getting an exception.

          It’s also not as simple as granting an exception and washing your hands. Granting an exception creates a precedent. Especially as those rigid rules are what makes this a sport.

            Well russell had far less damage in 2019 so he did not get a penalty. No expectation needed in that case.
