I love having more football but man Thursday Night Football is just a horrible idea. These games are always a horrific mess and injuries just pile up. Wonder if teams in the future will start “load managing” their best players for these slugfests, although I highly doubt that for obvious reasons

I had to go to page 2 to find this post game thread (in Paris and couldn’t be staying up to 6AM just to watch).

Aren’t these normally pinned or have more than 174 upvotes to put them higher?

Richard Sherman had an amazing players tribune article about the perils of TNF from a players perspective and how the recovery time is nonexistent. It really changed my perspective about how worthwhile it is for our entertainment.

…well anyways hope he’s glad getting that check for the TNF halftime show in retirement.

Not sure why nobody is talking about it, but does anyone else think OBJ has a serious shoulder injury? He was holding his arm in a seemingly uncomfortable position during post-game interviews and never moved it once. Definitely was heavily guarding it.

I’ve had 6 shoulder surgeries so I know a thing or two about the joint, and it really didn’t look like he was fully ok…
