Hi all! My s6 Apple Watch just broke. I have had two Apple Watch’s s6. The first one broke one year ago when I took swimming with it. Apple sent out a replacement and I tried swimming with it again now. (It broke and won’t turn on) . Question is it worth getting the Apple ultra watch 2? Been looking at it. The fact that it’s seems more water resistant than the normal ones makes it more appealing. Either that or I try and repair my s6 watches. Any help/ guidance would be appreciated!

I would like to take it diving as well since Apple has been touting its diving capabilities. I don’t know. Been pretty disappointed with the durability of the normal series watches. They say it’s water resistant but it broke from some light swimming in a swimming pool

Nearly a year with the ultra, my first apple watch.

Ultra was never advertised to support diving beyond scuba, my opinion of it: I spearfish weekly and the dive features (for free diving) are lacking to the point of being unsafe. The new oceanic+ free dive features appear to come close, but i haven’t tested it yet.

As a watch, battery life is terrible compared to a dive computer or any other wearable i’ve owned. UX needs to get the basics right: i need the time and date in every screen/view, it’s so inconsistent.

I love the ultra 2, but you really need to get something out of the extra battery life or GPS accuracy. Aside from that. It is way more resilient. I hit it off things pretty regularly and it still doesn’t have a mark on it.
