My work phone is an iPhone 12 mini. In the last month or so I’ve been losing contacts. I have done all the updates and followed instructions on how to recover them to no avail. When I logged into the iCloud to recover my contacts it told me that I have nothing to recover from. Am I screwed or is there something I can do?
Try going into settings > contacts > accounts > click on your mail account > delete account > re-add the account and then make sure contacts are toggled on. Then give it a few minutes and see if they reappear.
Also, you might want to try enabling iCloud-on-the-web and see what contacts you have: https://www.icloud.com/ (to enable, go to Settings->(your name)->iCloud->Access iCloud Data on the Web). If your contacts are still there, there’s some issue with iOS or your contacts program. If they’re gone, you’re probably screwed.
