Is it just me or the YouTube allows now for PiP on iPhones without a premium subscription?

Edit: It’s wired as it works only on MKBHD videos for some reason.

    Not sure about how it works now since I have YT premium. But before I got it you were able to trick YouTube/ios/ipados into playing videos in the background and PIP by opening YouTube in the browser. Then going full screen and swiping home.

    I used this method for at least a year until I bought premium.

      I use vinegar cleaner extension to block adds in the browser. I haven’t seen an add in 3 years and I think it was 3$ Also I just assumed that how pip worked. Full screen then back out with it still playing

    It doesn’t work for me, never had PiP in my free youtube. Tried using safari too but not working

    I’m getting this on certain videos too. Most channels don’t let me and some do. Unsure if it has something to do with geographic location of the channel or something
