To want wins for the simple reason of winning, and not considering what it might mean long term for the future of the team, to me, is a terrible take as a fan of this team. Winning more games can only do harm, and the top reason is it could give incentive for them to keep this terrible coaching staff, the second is that we get a lower draft pick. There is nothing in me as a fan of 20+ years, that wants a win against the browns more then I want the future success of the team
A terrible take as a fan is to hope the team you spend hours watching and hours of media consumption on losses. Winning usually means good reps and good winning reps is what this team needs.
As of right now I am not actively rooting for them to win or lose. I just accept it for what it is and it’s bad and I don’t want to see mediocrity entertained. I’m only focused on the future at this point
Hard disagree. I don’t find any joy in rooting for my team to lose and refuse to wait 10 months to do so. Winning will not only harm us: we can increase FA appeal if we don’t roll over two seasons in a row and show some grit.
To me, rooting for your team to lose because they MAY be better in the future is a terrible take. You assume that losing to the Browns has anything to do with the team’s future, despite the organization not showing you any reason to believe this.
Why would we care about winning this game or any game this year? I’m lost here. The seasons been done
Yea. 2023 is toast. Time to start planning for 2024.
I mean it’s still nice to win a game once in a while, right?

You’re asking why Bears fans care watching the team win a game?
We’re in a great spot. We can try hard, build morale, win games, and still get a top 5 pick. At WORST (best) our actual pick will remain top 10.
I see no reason the team wouldn’t try to win out the season. Players want to win - and any win today will pay off next season.
