I’ve enjoyed my home mini the last few years, with two Chromecasts, a Sensi thermometer and a few smart plugs. Controlling those my voice has been handy.
I’ve especially enjoyed the ability to find my phone with my Mini.
But now that it’s dead, what other systems do the same, possibly better?
From what you’ve said I’m assuming all you’re doing is asking your assistant to turn things off & on. You’re pretty much going to be looking at the Google Assistant, Alexa & Siri for a direct off the shelf replacement. Voice control for a few basic devices like this is on the bottom end of home automation.
