i’ve been using Nas for a few years, it’s Arch Linux with BTRFS raids.

but i don’t necessarily need it to be online and feels kinda wasting running it 24/7.

also don’t wanna deal with the electricity stuff too.

so what i’m thinking is just running a mini pc for dockers that runs 24/7 with a small ssd. and then use the hdds(i have 7.) separately.

how do you manage offline hdd backups?

i’m thinking just connect the btrfs raids to Linux pc i have and just power it on when i need to backup to them and disconnect the cables when not using for a long term.
