I have an extreme Pro 2TB but terrified of data loss so recently got a T7 shield and using it on my MacbookPro. This is the 2nd attempt and the drive just got corrupted because while transferring files, Finder crashed/lagged and i had to force shut it down. And then, I wasn’t able to eject the T7 Shield so i had to force eject and then it wiped the T7 after having just transferred. To be clear i was in proceess transfering from Extreme to T7
Does anyone have any other recommendations? I am done with the T7 and wasting time trying to get it to work without losing data
Wikibox solution is what I do as well.
But don’t copy everything at once if you’ve got terabytes of data. The ssds get hot and can cause strange issues.
If you get an enclosure, make sure it’s aluminum, so it radiates more heat. There are a few that have fans in them too for those larger backups.
