Not a Fields hater or truther, but the similarities are interesting -
Trubisky
- 1,594 passing yards
- 13 TD’s, 2 rushing TD’s
- 6 INT’s
- 2 games with a QB rating of 120 or higher (vs the 31st and 27th ranked defenses)
- 3 games with a QB rating of 80 or lower

Fields
- 1,201 passing yards
- 11 TD’s, 1 rushing TD
- 6 INT’s
- 2 games with a QB rating of 120 or higher (vs the 31st and 32nd ranked defenses)
- 4 games with a QB rating of 80 or lower

God STFU already with this Fields vs (INSERT QB NAME) analysis. He’s here for 7 more games. Fuck it or fight it.
Can’t wait to see the mental gymnastics on this thread on why it was good to get rid of Trubisky but Fields is the future!
I feel bad for whatever team gets fleeced into signing Nagy as their HC. Their team will look fun until the losses start piling up and the culture goes to hell. Club Dub only works when you win more times than not
I can’t believe people still want to talk about Trubisky in 2023. What the fuck is with this sub? Bottom, meet rock I guess
OP will you please learn how to use an apostrophe
:,(
How many extra possessions did the 2018 defense give the biscuit during that 6 game run compared to F1?
Justin Fields not being the franchise savior QB I thought he would be is probably my biggest disappointment as a Bears fan
Interesting comparison but I’d add a few caveats:
-
Fields has played 5.5 games, not 6
-
Fields is in year 3 - comparison would be 2019 Mitch
-
Missing comp % & sacks (58% vs. 62% | 14 vs. 23) -
-
Funny enough, rushing yards are similar (245 vs. 237)
-
Washington is not the 31st ranked defense (esp. not before Sweat & Young trade) - they’re ranked 18th by PFF currently; 16th pre-trade
-
The only thing considered good that Nagy sort of brought was club dub. Anything else was just bad. If you like Nagy, you should be reborn.
By what metric is Washington the 32nd ranked D?
31st, not 32nd - points allowed per game.
Trubisky had an amazing defense on that team giving him great Field positions. It masked a lot of issues he had.
Omg you guys are getting pathetic
2018 defense put the offense in some really good spots. 2023 defense is starting to find itself but the takeaways are still kind of scarce. makes a difference
Statistically, that was a very nice year for Trubisky and he made the Pro bowl as an alternate. We were so pumped heading into 2019 and it all came crashing down
Damn those numbers are really close aren’t they
DON’T CARE
