Rather than trying to debate the relative merits of Justin Fields or Fields vs Bagent, I’d like to ask a question that should force people to assess Fields objectively… or at least from a marketplace standpoint: What do you honestly believe that the Chicago Bears could get in return for trading Justin Fields, either in terms of draft picks, players in return, or some combination of both? I believe this question could shed light on how people truly see his value to the team, as *if* people really see him as an elite player they should also believe that he would be able to command a massive treasure haul in return. If he is a bona fide generational talent he should be able to command players + high value picks in return.

And yes, I know that the trade deadline has passed, so imagine that this question is being asked during the next offseason or before the deadline. I’m not asking for an exact trade that could be executed today from a specific team, but rather what he should be able to command in the abstract sense.

Also, it’s fair if you want to go back and time and note what he could have gotten in return in the past. It’s fair for the Fields supporters to argue that his trade value was higher last offseason than this offseason.
