Baegent is a backup

A rookie QB starting next year means our team is even worse

QB is the last problem this team has people. if you’re not supporting Justin Fields right now, you’re not supporting the Bears. Period. he is the quickest chance we have at success, and I do not want to start all over AGAIN with a rookie qb. and it’s just depressing to me that some of you actually want to go that route.

theres not one Bears fan that can say that Justin’s proved that he’s a backup or doesn’t deserve to be the starter currently. not one of you can say that he doesn’t still have an extremely high ceiling with all the talent hes showed.

this kids got seven games left, coming off the best two of his career before the injury. has he been perfect? of course not. but for all you haters, sit back and relax. if the man balls out, don’t say we didn’t tell you. dummies

Eagles traded Sam Bradford for a first round pick from the Vikings. We’re going to get value out of Fields.

But, everyone here wants to see Fields ball out and be the QB1 for the next decade. We want it so bad. But the performance has to be there.

I love Fields. With that said, his tape is showing me that we should be out on him if we have the 1st overall pick. We will see what happens these last 7 games. If its more of the same, standing with Fields will not be the quickest way to rebound.

I cant imagine it will be more of the same coming off the two best games of his career as long as his thumb is actually okay

His thumb was OK against the Vikings, who have an actually competent defense, and he was terrible

I’d say I’ve loved watching DJ Moore too but yes. Justin has been the best player on this team in thr last two years. by far over everyone actually besides dj

I have no problem admitting Moore is a better player than Fields.

But you don’t turn on a Bears game just cause of him sorry.

I want Justin to be our guy as much as anyone, but you cannot fault anyone for looking at other prospects. Doesn’t mean they’re rooting for him to fail, but just preparing for the very real (and in all reality inevitable) possibility.

Also, there’s not too much to be excited about this season, so looking ahead to draft prospects is about all we’ve got.

this is a fair logical take I would just be really pissed off if we drafted Caleb Williams because he’s going to be a project potentially even more than field has been and they have the same player profile. like what we doing lol

    You didn’t hear?

Fields is out for the Season with aerated bronchi.

Then, during his treatment, he ingested some dihydrogen monoxide. Almost killed the kid.

    So, See you next year.

I just love how the packers are a complete dumpster of a team. Absolutely no hope. Mediocre qb, bunch of mediocre receivers, no more than 2 good players on D, aging/terrible RBs. They’re going to be stuck towards the bottom, but never close enough to draft a decent qb. Their tears are going to be delicious for these next few decades.

They constantly choked even with a HOF qb and refs egregiously carrying them through regular seasons. A mediocre team propped up by refs and a HOF qb. Sad bunch of losers probably have nothing better to do than try to troll other teams.

CMon guys! All Fields needs is:

    • a HOF Center

    • 2 HOF Tackles

    • 2 HOF Guards

    • 1 HOF TE

    • 1 HOF RB

    • 2 HOF WRs

and he will be a top 20 QB! Let’s not give up on him yet!

So you judged Bagent based on his pedigree but we can’t judge Fields after 31 games.

Voice of reason take a bow bro.

This has been posted numerous times the past couple of years and each time the result is the same.

My guess is, of the remaining 7 games, he has 2 good to great games, 2 absolute stinkers, and 3 games where he looks good for a couple of quarters but has some bad turnovers and/or sacks that ruin what could’ve been a pretty decent game
