Then you have to factor in an extension for Fields and the decision seems really easy. He’s going to be going into yr4 do you really want to Extend him?
He doesn’t have to be extended this year, only optioned. But by skipping the option, they also run the risk of ending up in a Daniel Jones situation and paying big money to a bum.
My guess is they’re already moving on, unless he goes on an absolute tear for the rest of the year.
You realize we were needing a complete rebuild right? Our oline today is way better than when fields got drafted, but people act like this line today is what we’ve had.
