I’m a recreational diver and I haven’t used the Apple Watch Ultra for scuba diving yet.

I originally got it with the trail loop which I found comfortable and stylish.

I’m just wondering if I could use the trail loop for scuba diving and if it would have enough space to put over a wet suit?

I’m hesitant to buy a new ocean band and the ocean band extension because it’ll cost an additional 150 USD just for a band I’d only use sometimes.

Would love to hear your answers or experiences if anyone has tried

Be wary of knockoff bands. I use a set myself and they’re just fine for normal activities but in situations where you could lose your expensive watch and not be able to recover it are you willing to risk it? There’s been at least a few posts I know of and probably many more I haven’t seen of people losing their watches because knockoff band broke or wasn’t latched securely and came off.

Question: how are you guys using it whilst diving? I am assuming it’s not like a fully functional dive computer like a Suunto?

Yeah it’s not as fully functional as it lacks features like air tank pressure but it gets the job done for someone who occasionally does recreational diving.
