I proposed to my wife under the centre dome of the Exhibition Building. Genius move, because I’d see the building as I went past every day and be reminded regularly of that moment – but almost never get a chance to go inside, so it never became something mundane. Also, great odds that building would be there longer than us. We’re now in Perth, and it’s been years since I went past the building on the tram. You’ve brought back some happy and special memories.
