Either ownership or somebody is forcing his hand in all of this, right? I liked him and I really don’t want him to actually turn out to be a dumbass in disguise.

My theory as well. They figured on this being a lost season - might as well prep for next year, get a draft pick, be ready for Rodgers’ return.

Then they started being competitive and that really ruined that plan…

Well according to jets fans on twitter Zach Wilson isn’t to blame for most of this.

A big contingent of fans have convinced themselves that the jets are the only team in the NFL that deal with holding penalties and dropped passes. So apparently it’s not on zach. And that mentality has permeated through that front office as well.

As for Saleh, he’s not the GM. But I can tell from his facial expressions he doesn’t believe in Zach. His hands are tied at this point

Last time this was brought up, it was mentioned that one of the Jet’s biggest sponsors is jetBlue Airlines. The founder of that company is good friends with the the Jets owner and is Zach Wilson’s uncle

Maybe it has something to do with it, maybe not. I’m definitely surprised they never signed Wentz though

Do you want him to do a Doc Rivers and throw him under the bus? I feel he is being a good leader and professional by handling it with decorum. At the end of the day, they traded for Aaron Rodgers for a reason.

clearly OP doesn’t know much about PR speak.

Whether or not Saleh believes in Zach Wilson, dumping on him in interviews accomplishes nothing. Whether the rest of his team thinks he is good or not, Zach Wilson is still going to be the QB1 until Aaron Rodgers is back. You’re not gonna want a third QB who’d probably come with a big-ish price tag for very long, but QB is the most important position and letting a guy know in the locker room that every guy thinks he’s shit is how you really lose your season, and how you continue being in that group of NFL laughingstocks/shitshows.

Saleh is going out his faith in his defense to overcome Wilson because that is what he can control. Players/coaches, rather than pointing the finger, often focus on what they could have done to overcome the adversity at another position. Saleh cannot replace Zach.

Even as HC, he has to control what he can with his roster and that is to win in other ways that makes it easier on Zach to settle in and not fuck up the game plan.

There’s a reason the Jets went out and got Aaron Rodgers, and It’s not because they believe In Zach Wilson.

Lol that pick that should’ve ended the game was so terrible. The announcers talking about a wide open receiver he missed the play before and he’s like “I wonder if they run that again” right as he throwing the pick is hilarious
