Some of my recent favourites started getting translated again:
-
Trillion Game is an wild ride. Two guys join together to
scam peoplemake the greatest company, and make enough money to live their best life. -
Nick & Lever is a gag manga. Usually don’t like them that much, but this one has just the right amount bizarre humor, some 4th wall breaks, and a charming waterpaint style.
So yeah, pretty good. On an other note, I don’t know posting manhwa is allowed, but I guess its alright this thread here
-
My Wife Is From a Thousand Years Ago is a chill romcom about a warrioress traveling forward in time (who would have guessed) and trying to integrate in todays society. Mc seems a bit sus in the early chapters, but he does his best helping fmc with her situation.
-
Auto Hunting With My Clones - I don’t know why the koreans have so much gate/reverse-isekai manhwa, but this one is a self aware chill version of them. Mc gets the ability to come himself, so first thing he does with them is making them do his chores. Later he realizes their potencial, so send them to work and reaps all benefits, but gets more attention then he wanted…
Trillion Game is like the manga-version of Silicon Valley, sorta. Glad its serializing again.

Two continuing series I want to highlight:
- I have lately been enjoying Nagatoro. It is a series that has its good spells and bad spells, but this arc in which Senpai and Nagatoro are both working on improving themselves to overcome the challenges placed before them feels very satisfying. I expect the next couple chapters to be very consequential to the story. If nanashi undoes all the progress made during this arc, then I don’t see how it could ever recover. It would just become the next Rent a GF at that point.
- I feel like Tonikaku Kawaii is wandering through the narrative wilderness at the moment. It started to have some interesting tie-ins between Nasa’s childhood and an incident in the past with Tsukasa, but left it completely aside for a whole different story set in ancient times with Tsukasa. Like, the situation they were setting up was interesting, let’s get back to that. Hopefully soon.
I wanted to also highlight a couple series that I started recently that I have been really enjoying.
- Firstly, “When Trying to Get Back at the Hometown Bullies, Another Battle Began” or “Jimoto no Ijimekko-tachi ni Shikaeshi Shiyou to Shitara, Betsu no Tatakai ga Hajimatta” (MD link) has been a lot of fun. The “twist” in chapter 1 is pretty obvious, but the twist in chapter 2 is the interesting one. So far, all the characters are likeable and no typical harem drama hijinks. Definitely recommend if you are interested after the first two chapters.
- Next is “Shinigami Ramen” (MD Link). It’s about an overworked salaryman that wants to die and a shinigami that kills people by feeding them her deadly ramen. It’s cute and I am looking forward to where it goes next after the introduction of Udon to the cast of characters.
- Finally, “Yuusha to Yobareta Nochi ni: Soshite Musou Otoko wa Kazoku wo Tsukuru” (MD Link). It is about a hero that slayed the demon king and grew so powerful that he became distrusted by humans. He was sent to the edge of the world to conquer the most powerful dragon in the hope that he died. Instead, he settles down and starts living with the dragon. This is a pretty wholesome, fluffy series about family life, but everybody in the family is obscenely strong like Saitama or Ainz. I have been really enjoying it so far, especially after the newest addition to the family.
Real trash Dr. Stone
Uzumaki, but in a language I don’t speak. It’s fun filling in the characters’ speech bubbles as if I were lip-reading a telenovela.
Any Highly Advanced Medicine Is Indistinguishable From Magic is yet another isekai story, but it tries to be more “realistic” than most. It’s about a modern doctor in isekai world but goes into details about procedures like a regular medical manga. It reminds me of In Another World Where Baseball Is War, A High School Ace Player Will Save A Weak Nation which is a manga about baseball in isekai but they also try to keep it “realistic” and play it out like a regular baseball manga.
I’ve bee liking these mangas where they go into granular details about modern day stuff but in an isekai world. It makes the story that much more realistic and relatable.
Kagura bachi - its a new Manga about the son of a person who makes enchanted Katanas. Its really good so far
Boys Run The Riot - A really good Manga about a trans boy who starts a clothing brand with his friends from school. AFAIK theres only four volumes officially out so I have to find a decent fan translation.
Batmanga…Batman manga by Jiro Kuwata.
Based on the 1960s TV series, in addition to reading jusy regular Batman comics already.
I caught up with the last few chapters of Wakakozake that were translated a little while ago. Besides that just a bunch of random bl.
Lately, I’ve read both Black Jack by Osamu Tezuka and Franken Fran by Katsuhisa Kigitsu.
Maybe also Astro Boy by Osamu Tezuka again.
I’ve been reading off Nook and Hoopla.
+99 Reinforced Wooden Stick has been really funny so far. He’s like the One Punch Man of a VR game.
Just read Yakedo Shoujo.
The whole manga just feels like a fever* dream to me, but the characters themselves and their emotions are well shown throught the manga. I didnt like the ending of the manga, but being an open ending is a cool aspect.
I would like recommendations on great seinens, appreciate it!
It’s like a giant robot trying to stamp out cockroaches for the last 5 or 6 chapters: Wrong tool for the job…
Lately I have been enjoying isekai slow life manga. I know they are a bit cliche but it’s my guilty pleasure so to speak. And they are more fun then the usual isekai where they join an adventure guild and become a hero. Though not all of them are great. If anyone has any recommendations of isekai slow life with romance as well I would appreciate it. Especially ones that are not a harem.
