Mac has him beat in nearly every category, most of them by a big margin, and does it with perhaps the worst supporting cast in the league. By what metric is Wilson supposed to be better?

Wilson was the 2nd overall pick so lots of people don’t want him to fail, however he is a failure on a team loaded with talent. Jones was a mid first round pick and plays like it. Wilson has more potential than Jones and people love potential.
The Jets defense is loaded with talent, the offense not so much. There are only two bonafide reliable pass catchers on O, G Wilson and Breece Hall and the Oline is a struggle bus.
