So, I got one of those Apple TV deals, and I absolutely love it… for the most part. I’ve had experience with one before I got mine, my friends and I were watching YouTube and the ad skip thing started up…. And it was awful. Never skipped the ad, And skipped nearly a solid minute of the video while it’s not skipping the ads. We were finally able to turn it off. Cut to a few months later I get mine, same stupid YouTube issue, and there is nothing in the settings to turn it off now 😡 I had found the answer for hers on a Reddit post, and that has seemingly disappeared 🤷‍♀️ So I need some helps 🤣

What do you need turned off? You want ads off on YouTube? You need to subscribe to premium for that?

If you are having issues with a black screen for 5-10 seconds between ads and videos then your TV is switching display modes. The most often recommended settings for the Apple TV 4K here are to leave it in SDR mode by default and to allow for Dynamic Range Switching in the settings to help prevent this.

Your confusing your video settings with what’s going on.

There is no such thing as auto skip ads. The top comment mentioned it you have to close match dynamic range.
