I am turning my garden shed into a solar powered home office and starting to plan out power requirements and hardware I would like to run.

I have a laptop that I use to work from but I would also like to have a server running with a couple of SSD drives so I can run a NAS, NZB downloader and some other bits with proxmox.

I have been looking at the TinyMiniMicros but am a bit lost with the amount of choice out there.

Previously in the house I had been running a rack mount system with a pico PSU and an intel Celeron J1900 with 32gb of ram. I never did measure the power consumption on this but it did run everything I needed without a problem performance wise.

Anyone have any suggestions on model numbers to look at which are particularly power efficient?

I’ve been thinking about this myself. I have a shed with its own solar panel and battery pack and it has spare capacity left over every day. Been thinking about putting a low power nas in there for archival needs. I’d have to build one though, don’t see anything ready made that fits my low power application.
