They are both supremely talented and I believe could be Super Bowl winning and with the right pieces around them and coaching, but were failed by a terrible organization with bad front offices, coaching and a lack of offensive talent. And don’t forget an idiotic fanbase who placed all the failings at their feet when their talent is apparent.

There isn’t even a comparison between the 2. Curler had zero fear of throwing the ball. Fields doesn’t even try to throw it, even when guys are wide open….

So much of QB quality is where they rank. Cutler was always a 11th-15th best QB in the league during his Chicago tenure. However most playoff victories are achieved by top 10 QBs. Obviously an elite defense and supporting cast can lift an average QB in a particular year, but multiple playoff wins are for top 10 QBs. You see this with Cousins and Prescott, who are in that 11th-15th range.

Right now, Fields is not looking like a top 10 QB.

    Top 10 currently

    1. Mahomes
    2. Burrow
    3. Hurts
    4. Allen
    5. Herbert
    6. Jackson
    7. Lawrence
    8. Stroud
    9. Tagovailoa
    10. Wilson

This is a down year for QBs overall so the playoffs will be wide open
