I don’t know how any of this will shake out over the next month or so in regards to the scandal… but… if this opens the door for Harbaugh to leave Michigan and return back to the NFL, the Bears need to open the checkbook and ask him for a number.

Look at the postgame of the Michigan-Penn State match up. These coaches and players are choking up on the verge of tears just talking about him, they love the man. This Michigan team would run through multiple brick walls for him.

The Bears have looked completely lifeless all season when they’re not eking out wins against the other worst team in the league. Eberflus can talk about HITS to the press til he’s blue in the face but nobody in the locker room seems bought into anything about this coaching regime.

Harbaugh is the type of coach to set a direction for a rudderless ship. If it were any other big name college coach I’d be more wary but he’s been to the Super Bowl, he’s no stranger to the league.

Even today we still call him “Coach Ditka”. A lifetime Bear. In 40 years we could still be talking about another Bear as “Coach Harbaugh”.

I find the infatuation with a guy who hasn’t been in the NFL in 10 years bizarre.

I’m guessing they are Michigan fans. Which explains why they want Fields to fail, too. If so they should fuck off back to a CFB sub.

It’s because Harbaugh is a former QB and knows how to coach QBs. Look what he did for Kaepernick. Went from mediocre to almost winning a Super Bowl.

That’s basically what Bears fans have always wanted: A head coach that doesn’t fuck up the Quarterback position.

If we draft another Quarterback I’d like a coaching staff that won’t piss it away like what’s happening with Fields.

Maybe not Jim, but hopefully we get a coach who can do something with our QBs other than ruin them.

Look at Harbaugh at Michigan before you sell him as a QB whisperer. Michigan has struggled to develop QBs, and done so for a while. McCarthy is alright finally, but the list of QBs that were big recruits that busted with Harbaugh is pretty long.

The biggest red flag for Jim Harbaugh is his ability to develop QBs. There are a lot of good reasons to hire Jim Harbaugh, but he is not a QB whisperer, and it would not be something to expect him to succeed at.

He’s been at michigan 8 years. Theres only been a sample size worth mentioning for 3 guys, which is about right considering you might as well throw the first two years of any college coach out the window.

2 of those years are jj mccarthy who’s a day 2 pick in the draft

2 of those years are Shea Patterson who got better at michigan

1 year was McNamara and he has sucked at iowa in the games he’s played

Who exactly did he not develop? Bazooka Joe? Brandon Peter’s? Both had good stretches but regressed pretty hard. Maybe an argument for Milton. Not a great one though. There were better options for michigan at the time.
