Both have two lost fumbles. Bagent has one more rushing td than fields. The sacks are 25 to 5. Fields has 130 more rushing yards.
…aaaaand that should complete our comparison of our first round, in his third year, potential franchise qb to our rookie udfa from a d2 school in his first four starts.
Sure, if you remove all context to the stats and look only at the numbers. Having Teven Jenkins on the line is a massive benefit to any QB - he’s been that good.
For me, Fields gets until the end of the season. Poles doesn’t have to decide before then - why should we?
Lucky for us we will get to see how he does with teven back in. He should also have Khalil Herbert back. Don’t worry though, if he plays poorly I can already hear the excuses of ‘well he had to play the better defenses’. I Hope he plays well but I’m not going to live in denial if he continues to have the same struggles he’s had for the past 2.5 years.
And what’s your point? Bagent looks much worse than Fields has and his best game is still the 3 yards a pass game. Fields has two 4 TD games this season, and in his last 2 full starts. Fields has been bad for sure passing the ball, but Bagent hasn’t looked close to an NFL starting QB.
My point is that you guys don’t seem to understand that it’s not good when you’re having to microanalyze differences bw the guy you hope is your franchise qb and a rookie d2 udfa.

That has no bearing on anything at this point. Most people don’t care where any player went college, once they make a team.
