After being an Android user my entire life I finally switched to iPhone. Whenever I got snaps from people with iPhone I was always impressed with the quality, so much so that this was one of my main reasons to switch. I remember reading somewhere that on iPhone Snapchat uses the actual camera instead, while on Android it basically takes a screenshot.

However I had a pretty disappointing experience so far with my 15 Pro. The images I take on Snapchat look grainy and dark compared to the amazing photos you can shoot with the camera app. Also when exporting them to my gallery I found out that Snapchat only takes 2 MP photos apparently. Is this normal?

There’s no substitute for good lighting.

If you’re in the camera app you can fine tune exposure but Snapchat you have limited options to accommodate for these things.
