What player in the NFL, past or present, would you have wanted to see succeed so badly but due to injuries, off the field issues, or whatever happened just derailed their career? For me it was unfortunate to see players like Josh Gordon or Justin Blackmon have their careers end or never getting back on track because of off-field issues.

RG3 is an excellent answer. It’s really too bad he didn’t get any further as a player. I’m glad that he’s doing broadcasting now.

I believe the lack of RG3 and Luck is why there’s been a lot of complaints about a talent dearth at the QB position this year. Those two should’ve been top 5 QBs aging into the latter half of their career at this point.

Cam as well, he was only drafted a year earlier than them. He’s “only” 34, but obviously his play style was never fully sustainable.

What ended cam’s career was his shoulder getting wrecked, not his play style.

His shoulder got wrecked on an INT return.

You’re a freaking panthers fan, you should know this.

RG3 came out before his time. He came out JUST as the NFL started experimenting with read options. Teams figured it out really early and neither him nor Kap were the same after. Now days though? Give him one if these current coordinators? Oh boy. Lamar who?
