Hi to all!

I have made this post earlier this week.

Mostly, I asked suggestions about changing my watch because of battery life and some of you were quick to point out that Apple were offering battery service for a fee, which I was unaware of.

Went to my local Apple Store, and Genius Bar told me they only offered services following certain criteria. On the site, it says I can simply send it and they will repair it.

I was confused and asked the chat for a clarification. Basically, they told me I was SOL. I added the screenshots of the transcripts below.

What would be your plan of action about that?

Thanks in advance!

Go to settings/battery/battery health. If that number is below 80%, 79% or lower, they will replace the battery (give you a refurbished watch) for whatever the cost is in your country. In the US they just raised it to $99 USD. If the battery health is 80% or higher, they won’t. It really is that simple.

Look at the battery health. If the percentage meets criteria, call them. Otherwise either wait for it to drop to that point, or just buy a new or Apple refurbished watch if you’re charging too frequently.

Yea OP never mentioned the battery health. If it’s mid-80’s or higher it’s possible the battery drain issues could be caused by software. Would likely be worth it to fully unpair and re-pair the watch.
