Hi to all!
I have made this post earlier this week.
Mostly, I asked suggestions about changing my watch because of battery life and some of you were quick to point out that Apple were offering battery service for a fee, which I was unaware of.
Went to my local Apple Store, and Genius Bar told me they only offered services following certain criteria. On the site, it says I can simply send it and they will repair it.
I was confused and asked the chat for a clarification. Basically, they told me I was SOL. I added the screenshots of the transcripts below.
What would be your plan of action about that?
Thanks in advance!
According to the Apple website, they will replace battery if the battery health is below 80%.
https://support.apple.com/watch/repair
"Battery service
We can service the battery in your Apple Watch for a fee. Our warranty doesn’t cover batteries that wear down from normal use.
Your product is eligible for battery service at no additional cost if you have AppleCare+ and your product’s battery holds less than 80% of its original capacity."
Is your battery health below 80%? I would try calling/chatting with another CS rep and try again if that’s the case.
