He’s like the TE version of Trey Lance but he’s actually good.
When the Saints were practicing in Miami before Super Bowl 44 the staff called asked UM coaches which of their prospects was most pro ready and they all said Graham. Pretty cool story.

How the fuck did Antonio Gates go pro with 0 receptions?
How the fuck did Jordan Mailata go pro without ever having seen the sport?
The world may never know the answer to these questions…oh wait, scouting, scouting is obvious answer to the question
Miami Hurricanes were like TE university for a bit there, so just had good odds

Mo Alie-Cox
Big athletic dude. I’m guessing he was a good blocker which is what a lot of te’s were used for in college. And most of those catches were td’s. He probably also impressed the saints gm. When they take a gamble and are right. They’re the smartest man alive. When they don’t they are the dumbest person alive and shouldn’t be allowed to consume the same air as us.
Mo Alie Cox went to a school that doesn’t even have a football team.
Sometimes you just know. :)
To me, it’s less about going pro… and more about being drafted in the 3rd with that little production. A guy like that can certainly go pro as a late rounder or UDFA, and then what happens happens… but to draft him in the 3rd without much history can be suspect.
I really didn’t pay that close of attention to that draft cycle, so I have no idea if he was really projected to go that high.
Holy shit, that’s an awesome stat
If Lebron James had told an NFL team he wanted to play they would find a spot for him on the roster. You can’t teach physical gifts but you can teach route trees.
Tom Brady had 0 catches in college and he turned out well. Happens all the time!
