I lost the OLED lottery with the iPhone 15 Pro. My screen has a yellowish tint, which I can solve by enabling Color Filter. The yellow tint also disappears when I tilt the screen at any angle. The problem is, this is a workaround, and I shouldn’t have to do this in the first place. Should I return my phone? I’m pretty disappointed with Apple. I thought Apple, of all companies, would have strict QA and tight tolerances.
Turn off true tone. This gives the screen brown-yellowish color so its less tiring for eyes to look at.
Why do you just accept this so quickly?
If it’s this noticeable Apple will 100% replace your phone
New iphones always look a little yellow as the resin that bonds the digitizer to the screen has not fully cured
Stupid this is downvoted, because it’s true. I own an Apple repair shop, and this is one of the most common things I have to explain.
I have a week old 15+. Compared to my XR, the difference is huge. How long do you recommend waiting?
With heavy use for a week and a half it should be evident if it’s fading away or not. If not I’d return it before the 2 week or 30 day return window, or get it replaced later under warranty.
While apple had pretty strict tolerances defective phones and bad OLED panels do slip through. I’d give it a few more days and see if it resolves otherwise see about returning for a replacement.
