Was looking to see what people are currently using their own phone for (what apps and features) as I’m currently taking a break from other social media’s and could use some suggestions! Would also be interested to know what accessories or setups you have going with it. Let me know!

Language apps such as Duolingo, training apps such as Strava and Trainingpeaks, messaging apps such as Whatsapp, video apps like Youtube and a bit of Instagram. I also use productivity apps like Omnifocus, To Do and Due.

Nothing earth shattering (13 Pro Max). My most-used app is Apple Music by a huge margin, followed by various messaging apps (Messages, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp mainly), calendar, email, notes, reminders, etc.

I don’t use social media much, but use Reddit more than I like. And a decent amount of YouTube.

The reason I went for a Pro was the camera system - the extra lens and the ability to shoot in ProRaw. I do mainly edit photos on my phone as well these days.

The most novel thing I do (I mean, barely lol) might be just having some super basic shortcuts in my widget screen for specific quick access things, like going straight to my shopping list, adding a quick reminder, adding an expense to my budget spreadsheet, or making a new note. I also have a Google Maps search widget right on my Home Screen, which is super handy and gets used constantly.

Had this same realization a few years ago. We have the most incredible tools in our pockets yet we use it to kill time and make ourselves feel bad about our lives because of social media. While I do still use social media apps this idea got me into being more productive. I use Duolingo everyday to learn a new language and got into investing. Budgeting to make sure I’m staying on top of my money. Those are the 2 biggest ones for me. Still want more ideas

My job i don’t take home with me and can’t really do anything from home so I never have like projects on my phone or need to take notes from work or things like that. I do feel like I’m barely using my phone’s capabilities though

I found something out the other day. I have my action button set to the camera and I was hoping I’d be able to use the action button in a different way to also use the flashlight, but I can’t. If you go to the settings app, type in ‘back tap’ and set it to ‘on’ you can add other actions by tapping the back of your phone. You can have a double tap and a triple tap shortcut

Action button is the only change from my previous iphone. I have customized it to show direct links to bus stops for departure times when I am on the street. When I am home, it shows up my TV remote, direct call buttons to my family.

Not using an iPhone 15, nor does this have to do with iOS 17 either.

Recently, I’ve been playing with WebRcade on my iPhone. It’s an online based emulator running on a browser, and I’m playing a rom-hack of Pokémon Fire Red in there, as of now.

My controllers? I was using my Nintendo Switch’s JoyCons, and I bought this telescopic grip for my phone that has JoyCon rails on it, so, I can attach the JoyCons to that grip.
