It started for me last draft. I thought they should have taken Carter. So thats when I thought the team was in for another rough ride. I dont want to argue that shit, but my point is that I am hopeless again. Like when Fields got hurt under Nagy done… yall remember november of the year nagy got fired… It feels like that again. The “again” part of that is what bothers me so much tho. Im so tired of “again”. Nobody takes the Bears seriously.

Wright was the correct pick IMO. Offensive was the move over defense. With Carter this team is same record and a kid with known character issues has very little veteran help to guide him as he does in Philly. That is a recipe for disaster. Wright looks like he can be our RT for the next 10 years.

This draft and offseason is when you will know if we are in the “again” stage. The season is going how people should have known especially with a lame duck Coach you could tell last year was just a long term interim coach. If Poles resigns Sweat and JJ for good deals and gets more talent in draft and FA, maybe a little breath. If that all falls apart, welp yeah we are at the again stage.

Ignore the media. Listen to Poles. Rebuilds like what the Bears have needed for a while take time. Remember, George is trying to solve for the following.

    • Post Ted Phillips
    • Post Lovie Firing
    • Post Phil Emery
    • Post Trestmann
    • Post Fox
    • Post Nagy
    • Post Pace

Hire Poles. Poles hires Flus. George hires Warren. Roster rebuild in progress. Culture rebuild in progress. Building rebuild already done. Stadium build in progress.

Look at Poles at the podium. Does this look or sound like a GM worried about the trend with the team knowing that mistakes are going to happen and the real hits are going to go unnoticed?

The media in Chicago is a huge joke. It’s a joke in most places honestly, but it’s awful in Chicago. The way most stories are told in Chicago is straight business PR controlled.

I’d wager that if you polled 100 current and former GMs about Poles after 20 months on the job about 90% of them would say he’s doing exactly what he should do.

You play the game with the hand you picked up. Toughest part of the GM job.

Dan Campbell was 4-19-1 at the same tenure point as Flus. Flus is having to manage QB position regression and injury too.

We’re jaded by the past. Be patient. Think critically.
