So I have discord installed on my iPhone (12, iOS 17.1). I deleted the app and reinstalled it from AppStore. I can see that I stay logged in Discord when I reinstall the app. How can that happen? Isn’t iOS supposed to remove all the data?
Also, in the settings app, I can’t see the “offload app” option anymore. What’s wrong!? Anyone else facing this?
It deletes the app data after certain time… I’d say 15 mins.
I think it does this so you can resolve app glitches without having to reload your user data which could be game progress, app sign-on, etc.
I’ve fixed my YouTube app several times by deleting it and quickly redownloading it without having to re-authenticate.
Offload app selection is under General then iPhone Storage once the app is selected from that list
Wow… what an innovative idea! I sincerely would love to have the option to control at least that much.
Do you know how to make the App Store prompt me to reauthenticate when downloading software that I have installed before?
