    Because the Mccaskets are the most inept owners in the NFL. I have not in at least 5 years nor will I spend a single penny on this dumpster fire franchise. I laugh at all the morons complaining about ownership and change as they fill those $500 nosebleed seats and buy their shitty $18 cups of beer. Fuck this ownership and fuck old man Accorsi.

    Pretty sure Eberflus is out after this year, but Poles will stay. We are in the middle of a rebuild and I think he may continue. I expect us to trade Fields this season and pick a top QB and playmaker. That, combined with our massive cap space, should be an attractive position for a new Head Coach and some free agents.

    That should set us up very well for the future.

    McDaniels was both a bad football coach and an asshole who completely lost the locker room. Only one of those applies to Eberflus

    If it weren’t for chuckies emails they would now be paying 3 coaches at once. Striving to be the raiders, who haven’t done anything for an even longer period of time than the bears isn’t really going to help this franchise.

    Who thought that Josh mcdaniels was a good hire? Almost nobody except moron sportswriters. He is exactly who he has proven himself to be once again. He alienated his qb(sounds like when he was in denver) then quickly loses the entire team and then gets fired. He sucked in Denver, hosed Indianapolis when he agreed then backed out and then flamed out again as a head coach now with the raiders.

    Idk why people think firing our HC in the middle of the season would be any different or better than firing them in the offseason. The only reason is the fans get quicker gratification. Otherwise you’re stuck with an interim who is typically even worse than the original HC. We’re gonna be bad this season no matter what why bother firing people in the middle of it

      Because there is a glimmer of hope that the interim HC will put players in the position to succeed and maybe see some improvement in the team. Our situation is probably impossible since our HC is also our DC.

        I think this is exactly the reason why they are still here. It’s an unusual situation that would be complicated to fill. We also haven’t heard any news about a new DC all season. This might be another sign Poles is just letting this year play out so he can start fresh

      For me it’s a few reasons. Personally, the season is lost but at least I don’t have to spend the next several months wondering if they’re planning on keeping this clown car on the road next season. For the team, locker room is obviously lost with this group and they still need to extend Jaylon Johnson and Sweat. Firing this group means you can openly discuss the plan for moving forward during that negotiation. Finally, some of the best head coach candidates are going to end up being hired during the playoffs. You rip the bandaid now, have several months to conduct a search, and you can get one of the better candidates before they’re off the market. Otherwise you’re stuck with the next Eberflus once all the good candidates are picked over. They hired Nagy on January 10th, they hired Eberflus on January 27th. That couple weeks can make a big difference. I know Nagy didn’t work out but he was actually THE guy that off-season.

    I want Flus and Getsy gone but I don’t know that firing them know makes a tone of sense? Who takes over play calling? We have no def coordinator either and flus has been doing a decent job in that role alone. Think we just gotta ride it thru and then cut bait at the end of the season
