Well when he got here he had very few picks and next to no cap space. So just getting us the amount of picks and re-setting the books was a job well done. He also managed to get a LT that doesn’t suck in the 5th round… Not a world beater mind you, but he’s capable. Brisker and Gordon are tougher to evaluate because we haven’t had an actual pass rush. Let’s see how they look going fwd with Sweat and Yannick together. Darnell Wright is a full on hit already. He’s the highest graded rookie tackle and looks the part as well. Also important to add that every single OT in FA that was available has been garbage this year. DJ Moore + 1 pick + 2 pick… Moore is a stud. Outside of the Claypool trade, which I can even understand to a degree, he’s been better than expected given what he was starting with.

To me the biggest concern is the lack of direction & the way he is building the roster.

Your whole claim to fame is “we build through the draft” but here you are shipping off high 2nd round picks (for expiring contracts) in lost years like candy.

Your first three picks in year 1 were a nickel corner, and oft injured box safety and a kick returner.

You have $100m in the offseason and you spend it on off ball LBs (you traded one thats top 3) and fill ins on DL.

You move up in the draft to take another corner. You draft 2 project DTs who are playing out of position because of the coach you chose.

Your team is somehow worse in year 2 of your “rebuild” than it was in year 1.

    Make it make sense.
